Hey Ken, I like the way you bypassed the coin operation feature!! It would have killed you if you had to feed it quarters!

May be a lot of elbow grease but, I have always used Mothers on any aluminum that I polished by hand.

Might see if there's clearcoat on them. If so, you could use paint stripper, clean them then polish with whatever you prefer. I recently did that on mine from a 03 GMC Sierra and they turned out great.
