Yes ..Cost and time so I went with a smaller tank....most of my fishing will be less than 20 miles off,,,the tank is now sitting in the coffin, yea there is about 20 inches of space behind the tank to the aft coffin bulkhead and several inches extra space over the tank...that was the only tank that fit unless I went smaller or had a alum one made....I wish I could learn to post photos here...have some on the facebook SeaCraft page

patriot marine - the gentleman I used for tanks - he had a turn around time of usually 7 days...dropped tank off,replacement was made...

dropping fuel capacity to that,really hinders the markef or that boat,down the line....

thanks.. I did think of that....I am 64yo and will be keeping this boat for many years,,I had my 1970 Potter 20 for 29 years ...just hope this Tracker holds up

I see you're asking questions about fuel burn and range,on another web site....
I also see,the tank capacity has changed....

yes a 55 gal poly tank...the tank is at the shop and the fill and pickup etc is very close to the small inspection pie plate ...the inspection plate will be cut a few inches larger...was just trying to get some ideas on fuel burn / range since the job is taking longer than I expected I thought I just get some input on things and posted around
