When Frank let go of his SeaCraft dealership status, we picked up SeaCraft as one of our lines of boats we sold.

And so began my love of SeaCrafts.

Fr. Frank, The '09 26 TE and MA do not have a built in bracket. Hull extends fully to transom
The 2009 23TE and 26MA are rare boats.....different beam and LOA than a 23SF. Only a handful out there.

Fr. Frank-My dad was good friends will Bill Soverel who built his sailboats on the same property as Waterway Marina. They sailed a Soverel 48 to Annapolis for the boat show around 1980. We made a Bahamas run in Bill's personal 48 (hull#8) original known as Cavu and was renamed Tenatious.

Soverel bought Waterway Marina in late 1983, right after Fisher Coachworks bought Rybovich/Spencer which itself had purchased Soverel Yachts immediately prior. The plan at the time was to move all Soverel construction to the site, instead of the split production they had prior to that. To do that they tore down the Waterway Marina storage barn and then built a restaurant over part of the site.

I ended up being moved from GM at Waterway to Dockmaster at Rybovich in West Palm to begin closing the in-out storage operations at Rybovich Marina because the Fisher family wanted to build a condominium on the site. Once I did that, I had worked myself out of a job, as the Dockmaster at Spencer had been with Rybovich for 20 years.

Rybovich/Spencer ended up being sold again back to the Rybovich family in late 1984, which has since reorganized a few times, but the Rybovich family is still involved.

My grandfather was a partner with Tommy Rybovich after WWII in real estate development in the South Palm Beach and Lake Worth area, including owning Lake Worth Yacht Basin at Dixie Highway and the Palm Beach Canal, which was torn down to make way for the expanded spillway and locks in the early 1970's.

Small world, isn't it?

You guys are dredging up some fond memories of old North Palm Beach County. I remember hauling the family sailboat at "Spenders" (the tongue in cheek nickname of Spencers, because, well, I guess that's obvious, huh?) in the late 70's. Those were the days when Riviera Beach had lots of Crackers, but before crack took over the town. From about '84 to '88 we kept our boat at what we called "Soveral Marina," before all the fancy shops, and the big mall further west on PGA. Father Frank, did you ever pop into "The Bloody Duck" on US1 just north of PGA? I did once, and felt pretty good about getting outta there in one piece!

Oh, and wrecked03, sorry for the thread hijack. That's some serious hardware you've got bolted on back there... certainly should get you going! Good luck, looking forward to hearing how she runs once dialed in.

Not a problem. Can't wait to get her out in the next week or two.

Yup. Many times. Before I got busted in '78 and went to prison, (long before I worked at Waterway) I was a probate for the Lake Worth chapter of Z-Squad, which was a feeder club to the Outlaws.
The Bloody Duck back then was kind of home for The Freaks MC, before they were absorbed by the Hells Angels in Florida, and moved to the Tampa area.

I'm VERY glad I went to prison. Of the 9 members of the Lake Worth chapter, within 4 years after my arrest, 7 were dead, and they all died violently.

The other "survivor" who was also a probate joined the Army to avoid getting arrested, and he, too, became a Christian and eventually a Baptist pastor after 20 years in the Army.
