Stay with the Konica brakes! personally I think splurging for there stainless steel ones is money in the bank long term I picked up a used Extreme trailer made in Miami and have been happy with it. Did invest in some new Goodyear Endurance radials to replace the cheap tires they all seam to come with (after a blowout heading down .to Miami on 95) from what I’ve seen most of the trailers use pre bent aluminum I beams they can get from places like T&C metals then assemble the components so axel type ,brakes and stainless steel hardware are the main variables

Personally, I don't think you need brakes for a 20' if you tow with a substantial vehicle. The salt eats them up so fast.

Had bunk and roller and if you boat on tidal areas roller all the way.
I’ve seen guys not able to launch till tide comes in - and not able to get boat back onto bunk trailers till tide comes in - bad situation . I know there are loyal fans either way but I couldn’t deal with waiting on tides when I go fishing. |
