OK, your good..
Someone added the spray rails (glassed in) and beefed up the keel with a skid on it... They threw a coat of bottom paint on, so be weary of what lurks underneath of it.. It is a genuine SeaCraft !

Agree that its most likely a late 60's era model. they used those metal placards till late 72 I believe? after that they started stamping the Vin on the transom...I think thats the boat that has been for sale for quite a while down there...advertised as mostly a fresh water boat?
To answer your question about the below the deck drains..well they worked really well till they didn't..thats how they were built with the cockpit deck drains going strait down...there are stories of those failing and you can guess the rest of the story...most of the restores you see will have the deck drains re routed out the transom.. Good luck in your search as there are few Seacrafts here in Calif...there was a 20 sf on face book 6 months or so ago...up here in N. Calif....I went to look at it but walked away as it was in really rough shape...I would say be prepared to drive some distance for the right boat...I know of two seacraft enthusiasts (or dummies however you think about it) that recently drove half way across the country to trade boats... strick

HI Strick, Did Strick and BS do the deal? Did you look at the 20 SC CC that was north of you last year for 1700? If it had a road worthy trailer I was going to make the 8 hour drive but it sold. The pictures made the hull look new.
Thanks to all that helped confirm its SC origin. |

I looked at this boat yesterday. There are several patches on the bottom that may be a concern. Like someone said, the bottom paint may be covering more. It also looks like a good amount of trailer rash.

For comparison, here are a couple of photos of an unmolested bow on a 1972 hull:
