I've updated a few pics and information above.
I've had a few delays with work. We're an essential business so I haven't missed a day during this Covid-19 mess, actually busier than normal, so Progress on the boat has been slow. I went with Pressure treated bunks hoping the trailer doesn't float. I used all stainless hardware and thru bolted the bunks. The trailer is ready. The Tank lid is complete, see above updated pics. The non skid portion of the lid that sticks out from under the console, where the captain stands, turned out very nice. I used Total Boat Wet Edge topside paint in Blue Glow White and Soft Sand rubberized particles for the non skid. The bottom of the lid is painted with Total Boat Bilge paint. I've purchased all new Tank fill hose, return and supply lines. Those get installed next, then the lid and console get bolted down, and the all new wiring that's been installed gets hooked up. I'll try to get pics of the new wiring, breakers, fuse boxes and battery this weekend, along with any progress I make finishing the tank. She's still for sale. Don't be shy, make me an offer! |

How many hours on the engine? Any significant corrosion around the steering arm/mid section areas?

Hello,
I don't know the hours on the motor. I've wondered myself and intended to have a mechanic check, but I haven't had any mechanical issues, so never took it to check. The only thing I've done mechanically is clean all the filters and replace the injectors, which I did myself. The water pump / gear oil was replaced two years ago. I run it about 50 hours per year. |

I struggled all weekend trying to figure out a way to pull the old fuel fill hose.
What a PITA! I gave up. The old hose is foamed in tight. Short of attempting to digging it out through the 2" hole in the gunnel, or removing the entire top cap, the old fill hose is there to stay! It still in working shape and will have to do. I wasted over a hundred dollars on new filler hose, and only used about 18" of it. ![]() Anyway, the tank is in, and I cleaned her up pretty good. Still gotta mount the tank lid, connect all the wiring and install batteries. Here's a couple pics I took this morning. |
