FOCSLE -
Forward part of a merchant vessel,crew's quarters in forward part of vessel.

And it is right below the ............

HEAD -
The term comes from the days of sailing ships when the place for the crew to relieve themselves was all the way forward on either side of the bowsprit, the integral part of the hull to which the figurehead was fastened.

No but I do have Google!

FREEZE THE BALLS OFF A BRASS MONKEY -
{This explanation has no basis in fact. Ed. } It is not what you think. On ships, cannon balls were sometimes stacked in what was called a monkey, usually made from brass. When it got really cold the monkey would contract forcing some of the cannon balls to fall off.
