I heard she was banned from the TECO Manatee Viewing Center here in Apollo Beach. It was not so much for the endangerment of the manatees, it was more protection of a bad visual for the young kids on field trips having to see her in the water.

Moving back to topic...

Is there any reason a 23 Seavette with a 502 I/O (about 450HP) wouldn't chine walk at 65+ but a Sceptre/Tsunami would?

Following that logic - why would a 400 OB on a bracketed Tsunami chine walk?

Weight of the BB low vs. single OB higher and farther back?

I'm thinking if the 400R doesn't chine walk then why not? The western rivers are great to go fast in (unless you hit a log at 60) but with the 400R he could let the engine loaf at 40-50.

Sorry, the idea of mounting a 400 verado got mixed up with manatees mounting a 400#er!! Our mistake. I'm blaming Spidey.

Anyway......Not sure if you saw the video of a 39' Seahunter running wide open with four of those bad boy 400hp Mercs in calm water, a smooth 70 mph.

That is part of it I believe.

I also believe boats start to fly.
There is a reason they allowed race boats to cut down their hull sides and bring the pointy
end down in the 60`s.

Not that you're looking to run WOT, fully trimmed out so often, so the motor should run real easy and provide great speed cruising.
