John the owner of the 37 saw 86.6 @ 6250. We're still waiting on proper props but she's starting to show her potential.

wasn't fountain's self proclaimed center console world record something like 87.6 mph. I'm not sure if that record stands (for anything), but 86.6 is sure damn fast.

IDK but that fountain 38 is a great hull. To be fair our boat is not finished so once the top goes on we'll get a better idea of real speeds. Regardless 90+ is the goal and I believe it will happen even after finished and loaded. Makes me very happy...

Yea that is defiantly up there with some of the fastest CC hulls out there...Can't wait to hear what she dose with the new props once it is fine tuned in!

The fountain's Center Console record was 87.6 by Bob Kolenberg’s 38TE with Quad 300xs Mercs last I remember but there were a few others that bumped it up unofficially to somewhere in the low 90's. That's flying on the water. Its still a long ways off from the overall vee bottom record which was fountains also for a long while.

Hard to compare an full closed cabin race trim vee hull to a cc vee hull but the Fountain 42 ran a two way average up river and back down @ 171.88 . Thee new current record holder is the Outer Limits vee hull @ 174.938 mph I believe. They were both set right down the road 15 minutes away from my house. Reggie held it a long time with their 42 foot hull then O.L. took it as Reggie stood on his front porch watching it run by during its timed run.

Its amazing to watch them run those boats up the river. I see them a lot while out striper fishing in the Pamlico. I went to a river run and cook out at the fountain facility this summer and seen some real sweet hulls there.
