Congrats Brian! Should be an awesome project. And with Blackjack already under your belt you know exactly what you want.

Seems like you mentioned in another thread that a 250 was almost too much power on the 21- very little hull in the water. I assume that is why you may not bee looking for low weight on this build. It would be interesting to hear Steve's take on adjustments that may help get more stable WOT.

Anyway best of luck!

The only reason i will go with a 250 is because i don't know what to expect with a longer hull, I'm looking for efficiency and torque for the big waves and swells. I believe a 200 would be fine, but i don't want to be wrong. A 250 2 stroke on the 21 would be beyond scary, the 200 before the windshield and t top was scary.

This has a timeless look about it. Doesn't look like a 1960's boat at all to me. The best part is that it would be very functional overnight boat with a HUGE cabin.

Just Purchased the Console and matching t top, console is huge, will be step down for a head and other storage. Came off a Mckee Craft Hammerhead.
Moving along had to put new tires and lights on the trailer.

I'm sure I will go into production on the stretched 21, market is good now , crappy production is fetching high dollar right now.

Here are some corings from the last build.
Deck coring ( cut out for access hole) and transom core. Except for the outer skin this is epoxy and biax.
On the extend hull transom will be same , deck will be coosa 3/4" 28 lb skinned with biax.
Stringers same coosa skinned with biax and capped with triax.
Epoxy layup, as I am bonding to very old glass and resin.

A Barker 26 bay boat is north of 150 now so yes it makes sense.
You could make a 25 right off the bat...
