I left St. Thomas a little over a week ago for Saint Martin in a 62' Viking Princess. Any case I've been doing a bunch of engine maintenance since I'm at 300 hrs and haven't really looked into this engine since I got it. Prior owner did an excellent job at maintenance to say the least as everything looked great and all bolts came off easily. Now the down side. I'm an idiot but it looks like I might have fu barred the shifter bushing. I've got it shifting but not very well. I'm gonna order some parts and will tackle it when I arrive back intown. Cheers

Default Update...

Just a little update. Stereo and dual battery setup was wired wrong so it's draining the start battery. Installer says it's an easy fix. Will see. I also performed the 300 HR service and unfortunately screwed something up. After installing the lower unit it wouldn't shift at all. Long story short I ordered parts to fix my screw up but they sent the wrong length clutch rod so no boating for another month.

All in all I'm very happy how it all turned out. Looking forward to getting back on the water. Hope to see some CSC members when we get out.

Cheers

Default Update...

Was at the sand bar one day with the wife hanging out and the entire swim ladder pulled off the boat! My transom was more rotted then I ever expected. Found a guy selling a used Armstrong bracket and decided it was time for an enclosed transom using composite materials. I'll just call this stage 2. Stage 3 will be redoing the interior at some point. I'll post more pics when she is finished.

Cheers
