Both 1967's and Douggie's Safari are safe in the yard here at the shop.
Little concerned about Don V, Eric, Leland, Conner, Ter1 down on DPI and Vezo II coming through unscathed though.

Wishin' you all the best. Old friend, Dive master Mitch, reported survival from Grand Turk... Area 442 party was a good call. Way to bring in the peeps, No Bones! Hope Patti made it back to the ranch. Good luck on the SW side fellas, looking vicious.

I can officially say we had the CHIT kicked out of us....
Anemometer kept pegging at 99 MPH !! Rain 9.73 inches...
Quick recon of house, shop and road, going to have to cut our way out..

We are all alive and well though..

Hope everyone else is OK.

(Gillie Patti made it home just in time...)

Pics after daylight..

Lots of wind and trees/branches down in Palatka. Kinda similar to Matthew but longer duration of high winds and more rain. Less surge here. Power went out at midnight so cranked genset for freezers and went back to bed. Boathouse still there but expecting boardwalk to let go soon because of waves from SE. Grilled fish, shrimp, and lobster have been excellent though.

Glad to hear no surge...I'm hoping for the same here on DPI. Since I have been gone for the last month and all the island evacuated I won't hear anything for a least a few days...

We pulled through with no damage but are out of power and running a generator. I see where several of you have called me during the storm and I apologize for not picking up as I have been busy as a one armed paper hanger running logistics for my company's restoration effort. Both Mel and I work for a large energy provider and this is game time for us.

Yes we were very lucky. Cuba did a great job starving this monster and the mainland path shattered the eye wall and that fat bitch fell apart.

Yeah the eye, what was left of it, went about 15 - 20 miles to the east of us instead of the projected 30 miles to the west. HUGE difference!! Dodged the bullet! Happy you and Mel are good!!
