Weather permitting, I will be expanding the fleet this week by 24 feet and 10 inches. If the I/O starts and it passes survey.

Have had no luck for 4 weeks running. Don't want to jinx it.

Hmmmm. 24'-10"? You wish to join the chosen few.

Check the bulkheads if you can get to them. They are key to the boat's structural integrity. The one in front of the fuel tank compartment is difficult to get to unless there's a hatch in the cabin deck.

Here goes nothing. Going to un-winterize an engine, run it, re winterize it and haul it. Or not. Either way, it will be an experience.

Did I mention the predicted high temp for today is 34 degrees? I think we are going to run bath water thru it

Is this one of the red hulls? There are/were at least two like that in your general area.

. Trailer carnage on a 7200 lb trailer- it has almost no margin, so messing around. Will pickup after it will roll. I DO have a deposit on it.
The EFI kicks serious butt, though!

Where is the HIN on a 1971 24' 10" er? I can't search for words that short or common. "Serial #" started with MS?

It won't have one. HINs weren't required until '72 or '73. My '72 doesn't have one. There should be a foil manufacturer's sticker on the inner liner just forward of the companion seat if it's still there. The SN on the sticker won't be in the same format as a HIN.

Make it easy on yourself and call it a 25'.

That serial # starting with MS is probably on the title, right? When there is no HIN, Mass. uses MSZ followed by 9 digits as a serial # for titling purposes. But as Blue Heron notes, pre-'73 there won't be a HIN other than what might be on the spec plate/sticker.

Just curious where you found this Seafari?? I know of a white one that was in Mattapoisett for a number of years then it disappeared a couple years ago.
