Default I'm in

I think this is an excellent idea. I have been thinking of asking the group’s appetite to formalize a model registry database. After I lost my ’78 Seafari, I found another ’78 for sale right down the road from where I bought my 1st one the year prior. I didn’t buy it by the way. I looked back at production numbers for that year and the total was 22 outboard Seafari's and 41 total. So that got me searching on how many other ‘78’s I could find by using the search tool and Google. I think I only found only 2 or 3 more or only 12% of the fleet.

As time moves forward on these old girls a registry would be nice as evidence of how many survived, been put back into service and, over time, ownership history. I should preface this by say I can’t offer to maintain something like this. Just thought it was a nice idea.

Started re-glassing some of the stern areas as well... New Deck and a Paint Job and she will be ready to be re-assembled sooner rather than later... I live in RI, got the boat in Jamestown. My late grandfathers nickname was Nipper, So I gave it a New England twang and she will be called Nippah...
Hah, sounds wicked pissah.

Whoops, I'm late for roll call. 1970 Seafari 20' restoration project, originally a Merc 125 outboard, expect to go to a modern 150 when the time is right.

Default 1977 SeaCraft SF 23

1977 SF 23 here.
I bought this boat in 2004 in Pompano Beach. It was rigged with a carbed 200 Mercury Offshore and sat on its original aluminum trailer. I believe I am the 3rd owner. The transom had previously been replaced.
Upon purchase I added a custom aluminum T-Top from Boca Tops with electronics box. The hull has never been bottom painted, and has the original console and teak throttle base.
I ran that 200 for eleven more years and I estimate (conservatively) about another 3000 hrs before it was time to retire.
In 2014 the hull was stripped of all hardware and the slowly expanding soft spots by the bow eye, front casting platform and starboard deck by the console were recored. The and all new stainless hardware and rod holders were installed (not before every hole was properly epoxied) and the cockpit and decks sprayed with Awlgrip Matterhorn White. A new stainless rubrail replaced the 38 year old original.
I repowered in 2015 with a "new" 2012 Merc 200 Optimax. I think it is a good match for the hull, lightweight and plenty of torque. She sips fuel at cruise and tops out in the high 40s. Good enough for an old girl.
After receiving estimates for painting the hull, I opted to wet sand her and buff her out. I swear that gelcoat shines like new.

Welcome aboard. We don't see too many 25's. Pictures of the boat would be appreciated!

Default 1987 SeaCraft Center Console

My father purchased this boat new in 1988. I took it over in 1996 and repowered it with a 1996 Yamaha 200HP 2 stroke V6. We just replaced the motor with a 2017 Yamaha 200HP 4 stroke inline 4. The boat is mostly original. I'm looking on advice on replacing the fuel tank.
We use it for a family boat in Barnegat Bay, off of Long Beach Island, NJ.
