Glad to see your back at it. I would have bought the boat if I lived anywhere near you. A lot cheaper then a 21 egret which is what I have been lusting for. Nice work as usual. All that foam is not cheap. I just spent $480 on a 1'' 4x8 sheet of corecell ouch!

You cant buy one the way you are building it. The 20sf is sure a fun boat to drive. Lots of looks and compliments at the ramp too boot.

Im glad you are back on it instead of selling it...
When I do my 71 sf this is how I would like to go about redoing it. This will give me a good map to go by. Also love how you do your decks on a molding table, so much less fairing and gives you a true flat surface on your deck and the core is sealed better when done this way too. I look forward to watching this one unfold.

alright had some nice weather and got done with work early and got some work done.
I ground down the boogers off the bulkheads and fitted them into place. I decided I wanted to bed them against the stringers with dynaglass. I got the mat and the 1708 cut and fitted. then I mixed up a gallon of resin and a slow roast and mixed up a bunch of dynaglass and mushed it into emty caulk tubes. I squirted dynaglass into the cracks and let it squirt out to give me something to radius against. you can see the green dynaglass in the corners. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I layed up a bunch of layers of glass for the gas tank bed. While that was curing I decided it was time to remember why I am doing this and to give me some more incentive to finsh.
also had to make sure it still fit.... ![]() and it still fits. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

alright moving right along , got the supports stuck in for the gas tank, need to slap some glass on them. I got all 8 holes drilled for the drains and got pvc mounted in them and grounded the ones smooth in the bilge to keep it clean looking. I cleaned up the shop so I thought I could put the boat next to laminating table but there is just not enough room. to work side by side.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() got the stringers for laminating table, I am using 16ft timberstrands, they are engineered lumber that is straight as an arrow. ![]() ![]() I cut the legs for the outer joist 1/4" longer so the center will be 1/4" lower. so this means after I lay it up and flip it over it will have a 1/4" crown in the center for drainage. ![]() ![]() shop all cleaned up, once I get the drain plug drilled out in the transom the boat will spend some time outside. ![]() man If I had a week straight to work on it I could really do some damage....
