here's a few pictures I got on Friday morning

boats are moored up in the Halifax river - there's a few that washed up on the bank, few sailboats are still there.big old 37 egg harbor, wood boat,it was washed against a dock

huge old oak tree fell and was blocking riverside rd

traffic lites were broken off, swinging horizontal,in the wind

overhang, gas station on main street - just over the main street bridge - I watched it blow off

ocean waves were washing on atlantic ave, through the beach access ramp - end of Granada blvd

it was biketoberfest this weekend - only small signs of the damage I seen over on the beachside. I can't believe how quickly the mess was cleaned up

crowds were light, very light, compared to last year

That low hanging traffic signal reminds me of Pensacola about 12 years ago, after Ivan. I saw some fool, instead of treating an intersection as a four way stop, go flying through, apparently not seeing the low hanging light. He ended up with the signal in his passenger front seat. Good thing he didn't have any passengers.

heard inlet harbor took some serious damage, both the restaurant and the marina.

my ship is still out - gonna use the time to do a little maintenance, pressure wash, bottom paint.compound the hull and the inside ,few coats of wax - service motor, fuel filters, oil n filter change
