outboard bolt patterns?
Anybody know if an OMC mounting bolt pattern is compatable with Suzuki 140? I'm in the middle of the transom job and will fill current bolt pattern if its not compatable.
Thanks Dave |

Re: outboard bolt patterns?
Yes, as far as my change over went. I had a VRO 110 and swapped it out for a DF115 (same mount as the 140) and there was no plugging and redrilling.

Re: outboard bolt patterns?
for those going OMC to Yamaha, they also seem to match up fine. I went from a VRO 140 to a Yamy Saltwater Series 130 and it was a match on the holes...

Re: outboard bolt patterns?
Of all the things in the industry, that is one that everyone decided to make the same. All of the outboards have the same bolt spacing pattern in that respect. Not saying a little 9.9 is the same as a 200 but the bigger ones are all the same, be it Yamaha, Mercury, Johnson, Evinrude, Suzuki, etc. Otherwise, boat manufacturers would have to make transoms that looked like swiss cheese!!!!
