Default Fuel filler hose replacement

How difficult is it to replace the lg. fuel hose on a 1973 23' C.C. With the deck panel removed, the end at the tank is easy to get at and remove. But it looks really tight at the top, where the hose connects to the fuel fitting, with maybe a couple of inches to get at it. Has anyone replaced this and do you have any suggestions?

Default Re: Fuel filler hose replacement

I replaced mine. I disconnected the hose at the tank, then I pulled the gas filler fitting with the hose attached. I attached a rope to the new hose and fished that down to the tank, pretty easy to do ,droped it down and hooked it with a piece of coat hanger. The new hose goes in pretty easy with 2 people, one pushing and one pulling.
