Someone posted a source for 3 and 5 gallon kits...I can't recall but I think it was around $250 for the 3 gallon kit...and I think it was American something.....I must have read it after midnight and of course now I can't seem to find the thread. I'm at the supply ordering point...could you repost here....thanks....

I get most of the epoxy that I use from Fiberglass coatsing Inc... http://www.fgci.com

Their 2:1 epoxy 3 gallon kit is about $100
Their 3:1, 4:1 and 5:1 epoxy 5 gallon kits are about $175

Its hard to beat those prices for epoxy resin. Their epoxy products are very good and boast extremely good physical properties when compared to others. The 4:1 and 5:1 epoxies, however, tend to have very short working times. But during this time of the year their working times are a little better.

Ringleader,

Are you sure about the 2:1 expoxy being $ 100 for a 3 gal. kit? I just bought one last week and it was right at $240.
If its $100 they sure saw me coming , because I have purchased about 40 gals. over the past 1 1/2 yrs. and it has been pretty close to the $240.

I'm sure the prices have gone up since my catalog is about 3 years old now. I made a big order a few weeks back, but I didn't look at the prices. I figured the less that I knew, the better off I would be. Deffinitely don't want the wife to see the prices for resin and glass as she is already pizzed off at me for buying another project boat.

I can look to see what the current prices that I paid were.

You guys should check out US Composites. I have been buying a 6.6 gallon kit from them for 209.00 plus shipping and I love the stuff. It is 3:1.

I've been using RAKA epoxy and find it very easy to use. 2:1 ratio. The six gallon kit - 4 gallons resin, 1 gallon fast cure hardner and 1 gallon slow cure hardner is about $250. Do a search for RAKA epoxy and you will find their site.
