Default console modification question

hi
in my 73 20 SF it has the 36" wide console. im planning on cutting it down by about 8 inches. my question is for those that have done it and NOT replaced the floor, what did you do about the conduit location? what is the best way to make that work? thanks

That would be a whole package deal.

IE: With a plan in mind to narrow the console on a major rebuild. The rigging tubes are moved inboard, but is there room for the fuel tank?

Just narrowing the console and the rigging tube's are now exposed would not be a good choice.

i know the tube exposed would not be good. thats the concern since i am not doing the floor in the boat. that will be later down the road.

I guess my point was don't do it, unless you are ripping the boat apart to do it all and do it right.
