Default Props

What size prop works well on a 20' sf with a 02' Suzuki 25' 2 stroke 150 with a dusky bracket? I own a 14.5 x 20 and a 14.5 x 18. Thank, John

I am also looking for a used df140 or df175 (if anyone has seen a good deal)

Default Re: Props

Surf,
I have a 1973 20SF and run a 150 Mercury w/ mirage 23 pitch. I top out with 4700 rpms, 41 MPH, full fuel with 4 people. I am sure if I ran a lower pitch I would gain more HP and speed but I troll offshore and it saves fuel.

Also, have T Top w/ electronics, Top Gun outriggers, and 75 Gallon Tank. Hope this helps.

Just a guess but a 17 - I runa 19 @5700 with a 200

Capt your thought process is kinda goofy, you can't save gas with a prop at troll speed - you really should consider dropping down in pitch for the sake of the motor, Mercs like to run and need about 5500.
