Default middle stringer

ok i got the transom all cut out and i noticed my middle stinger is flexing what is in the middle is it foam or is it wood. my transom was the worse i ever seen so im hoping the stingers are not the same what should i do thanks

Its a piece of wood. I replaced mine with 2x4 PT, shaped to fit, then layed 3layers of 1708 over it.
