Default Victory At Sea, An After Action Report

I figured it might be good to have the tales of woe and accomplishment from the second Newport Seacraft Sub Invitational on its own thread

Thanks to Jason for arranging this event again and for putting up with us for everything from stinking up the joint, determining the acceptable load for a Thunder-Raft, and generally being the mobile lighthouse in the fog...

Nadine - wish I was able to say more than just hello, but again, thank you, and maybe now you can finally get some sleep

Was good to meet everyone and see old friends alike. One Kick Ass Tuna light tackle fishing early in the day with Roger (he got his first tunas) followed by boat rafting at Jazz Fest and the Chronicles of Aquaman.

Was glad to finally meet Capt Chuck, Roger, Paul "Blizzard", Jim from BOE - didn't see you for more than 3 minutes, and to see all the others again, Funari, Dink, Scott(s), Aquaman, Nick, Robin, et al... When many of us were wearing out the Third Wind at Casa del Trayer, Mancini showed up was able to take over the comedy role and keep things going. When Scott dropped me off at my truck I think I had already nodded off a few times on the way over to get it and was looking for tootpics to keep the eyes open.

Was simply an awesome time. I was impressed by those 20's in the snot too, but I have never seen anyone wetter then Jim and Scott on that quaint evening run back from the Jazz Fest!

Again, thanks and looking forward to next year already!
