Default Seacraft Decals...

I tried to contact Leonard regarding the Seacraft decals and was informed that he left to pursue other career opportunities. Bill Resop notified me of this and informed me that he would be ordering the decals. He contacted me yesterday to let me know they are in if anyone is interested. They are $80 pair, his email address is: [email protected]

Hey Squidrig....

I ahd called Hyannis Marina awhile back and was told they had decals in stock for about 50 bucks. Now answer me this...How the hell do I remove an original decal that has been on my boat for almost 20 years!!! I would love to put a new one on to show my pride, but I can't see how I can remove the old one. Try calling hyannis marine tho, they told me the decals have changed somewhat since 1983, but that it would be a factory original for the new boats....FYI

I got mine from a SeaCraft dealer for $17 each.
I'll get his number and post it tomorrow.

Don't ya just love living up north, where things are three times the price . Hooper, try using a hair dryer, works great on stickers and a nice new razor blade. just be carefull you don't fall in the water when useing the dryer. Bzzzzz!

Hey Hooper,
Would you say that there is a little sentimental value to the original decal? I would completely understand...but you certainly would spiff up the vessel. I say hit it with the hair dryer and retire it to the scrap book, that's what I'm doing.

Squidrig,
I also bought my decals at Hyannis Marina, about 4 years ago and they were $45 then. My boat didn't have the decals on so I didn't have to deal with removing them. Putting on the new ones was tricky though, since the logo each letter was separate. Good luck.

Just picked-up a set at my local dealer, Bay Pines Marina in St. Petersburg. $40.00 for the pair. They are definitley different from the originals. The new ones are sort-of 3D raised decals that are black with gold outline trim. Look great! Wish I could now find boot stripe tape to match. Its always something!

Squidrig
I hope you were not charged $80 for the pair. I was wondering what happened as I ordered a pair from Leonard and never heard back from him...same price as TarponTom $20 each or $40 for the pair ...your post answered my question why. But I dont understand why they are charging you so much (unless they just got marked up to levels unknown )....and if that is what they are charging it looks like there are lots of other places to get them at a more reasonable price.
