Many thanks Jesfrosty and Capt. Brad for this thread on windshields. I need 2 18SF windshields. I talked to Doug about it and he said between $80-160 based on size and mounting(mine is on a piano hinge). He is using plexi; says it works better than Lexan-no scratches.Go with the no tint. Fisher-Thanks for the offer. I didn't know until last night that my dad's 18SF windshield just was made last week at Stuart Plastics for $160(his is screwed on). Is your windshield screwed on or hinged? I need one without holes. I think mine was re-done custom, it is taller than the family's other 18SF windshield and has that fold down feature in the front with locking hooks on the side.

Capt.Brad-I didn't realize the value of the hinged windshield until I was looking at buying waterfront property with a low bridge. I probably bought that land based on the winshield folding down to get under that bridge. Crazy ! There is no difference in rigidity with the hinged windshield. It seems to be a great option for me. It looks like starboard has been inserted under the center of the hinge to allow the screws to mount to a flush surface;the center console has a 10-20" groove which makes the starboard neccesary

Fisher- Thanks for the thought!
