Default Chatham tuna

Hammer-

Saw you guys on Sashamy offshore on Saturday, we crossed you stern around 0730, right in the middle of that gaggle of a fleet. What a waste of a day for most of us... how'd you do?

The more time I spend tuna fishing the more I like striper fishing...

I would also look at the 370 volvo(i know andy doesnt like volvo) but that would push a duffy faster then your seacraft go's now (at cruise)That south shore has one and we do 21 knots against and 23 with fair tide. All of those engines are good but i would stay away from the john deere i think becouse they are very tall and i dont think he could get one under the deck.To me thats very important, I would ask him what he can jam under there.

I didn't see your old 23 out there, I did see a couple SC 23's though. Quite a testament to these boats to see them fishing 50+ miles offshore in late October for bluefins.

I will look at Volvo, I don't know anything about them at all. Man, if the 370 pushes the 34 Soutshore at 21kts, the 31 would really move too wouldn't it? How do you like the southshore? I may be looking for a new marina if I build the 31' as we are limited to 30' maximum, but if I decide the slip is more important than the Duffy, I am thinking about the 30' Southshore also. Have you fished on one before??? I know as a stickboat they were ok, but as a small charter or rip boat, the guys have loved them. But, truth is, i really want the Duffy, even if I have to search high and low for some place to put it....

hoop, I like the 34 south shore in everything but a head sea, I know a 35 duffy will walk away from it in that but on the stern its a diffrent ball game. As far as the smaller ones i dont know when i was looking for a boat i talked to a guy with a 30 south shore and he loves it but i know it sits alot, becouse hes on his 26 cape cod marine. As far as the duffy i havent been on one yet but have talked to another guy in sandwich basin about his and he liked it. If you are thinking about staying under 30' take a look at the 28 bhm or now called seaworthy marine, I have one and have been very happy with it, I have put it through hell fishing down there. If you are in plymouth some time and want to take a look let me know. The only draw back is it is not fast, i have a 200 volvo and cruise 15 to 16 near slack tide, but the engine is bellow deck so it really opens it up inside. But it is know 31 duffy.
