Default whats the resale value?

Hey guys,
Just wondering what the resale value would be on 1989 20 seacraft with a blown motor? It has a vhf, gps, depthfinder, 2 livewells, and raw water washdown. Boat is typical shape for its year with no bottom paint. Also it has a tandom axile alum trailer. Hull is rough but sturdy. I know its not a potter but does anyone have a ballpark value? I might be able to pick this one up cheap thru a friend, and I would want to resale it cuz I already have one 20
Thanks,
George

Default Re: whats the resale value?

check completed auctions on eBay to get an idea of what other sellers have managed to get for SC20' boats w/o engine. Unless you can pick it up REALLY cheap, I doubt it is worth the trouble unless you wanted to strip some of the parts and pieces off for your own 20' (like the trailer and electronics).

I would guess that many people who are going to buy a 15 year old boat with a blown motor are willing to go the project route and are not looking to spend a lot of money just for a rough hull on a trailer but you might get lucky with all the current buzz on these older boats.

What kind of trailer? there are probably members here who would be interested in that part of it...

yeah, I could be interested in the trailer if you want to part it out
