it is not uncommon to see boats sell on Ebay and then show up the next day on BoatTrader, Yachtworld, or even local periodicals for 10-20K more. The scary thing is some do sell......

I inspected this boat last month at REEL DEAL MARINE. What they have done here is put the boat on ebay and esentially bought it back. Now that they have a feel for the market, thanks, in some large part to this site, they know that somebody will likley come along and pay $20,000 or more.
They did qualify in their ad that they reserve the right to "reject any and all bids". Although they have done nothing illegal, just a little unethical and misleading. My first clue on arrival at REEL DEAL MARINE was that I heard the "F" word firing around like there was no tommorrow. In the office, next to the coffee maker, was (3) 1 Litre bottles of your favorite vodka, scotch and something else nasty - sitting out for quick availability... The guy didn't shake my hand and acted a little dumb about the boat - "there it is, runs like a champ" I have a full set of photos which clearly show this boat needing a minimum of $20,000 worth of work, not including freshening the motors - a BIG question mark. MY MESSAGE TO REEL DEAL MARINE: PEOPLE ARE NOT AS STUPID AS YOU MAY THINK. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND - BUYERS BEWARE!

I had the same expirience a while back with 20 that was listed on ebay and in the trader same deal, they would let the auction expire and refuse the deal and relist within the next week or so. the boat was also listed on the trader for approx $2500 more than any auction ended on ebay.
