Default Any golfers out there?

Just out of curiosity, how many of you play golf, how many rounds do you play each year and do you plan on playing more or less in the future.

I played this great roof-top course on top the Hyatt Hotel in Singapore in 1983. It had those cute little windmills and bridges you putt the ball over and around. That was the last time I played.

I started playing at age 41, (four years ago), my handicap is 28.2, I play about 2-3 times a month with Dunlop Flame metal woods and Taylor-made Tour Burner irons.
I would play more if I had more time, but about 1 round in 3 is interrupted now. (I am a priest and full-time pastor)

I did 2 things growing up in Western New York - hang out on my father's collection of power and sail boats and play golf. I started as age 8, having grown up literally in between 2- 18 hole public courses. I've had the same teacher/mentor the entire 40 years.

I pretty much stopped playing golf 8 years ago to get into "big" boating with the kids. Well, they're teens now and not real interested in hanging with Dad on a motoryacht, so we sold her and will be getting back into SeaCrafts and golf.

I still use the same 1989 Ping Eye2 irons (1 through LW), Big Bertha driver, 4 and 7 woods and the Ping Anser putter I bought while a freshman in high school.

My handicap is my stuborness to not play it as a game, but instead insist it's a power game meant for home runs and perfect approach irons shaped to the situation (.300 in NOT a good average in golf).

In a way, it reminds me of fishing. You can have all the world's best equipment, go to the right place, present yourself by the book and come up totally empty handed. Fortunately, it only takes ONE good thing to happen to bring you back again. Thank goodness for good friends and fair weather.

I just started playing last year and am still learning, however, I'm Club Car's International Factory Services Manager for Latin America & the Caribbean, so I get to play a few holes in some pretty nice courses! I might have played about 6 full rounds since my first last October but plan to play more as time goes by. Of course, spending time on my Seafari is my #1 addiction so golf kind of competes with it, not to mention that playing golf sometimes feels like I'm still at work! I live next to the Miccosukee Golf Course in Kendale Lakes so it makes it easy to practice, how about you?
