Default Best material for bulkhead surface?

What's the best material for replacing the woodgrain paneling on the cockpit side of the bulkhead in my Seafari? It's structurally in good shape, just looks funky- I'd rather have nice clean white.

Steve

Steve ...if your referring to the wood grain Formica ... and dont want to deal with ripping it out, I was advised to sand/fair and paint (awlgrip Sterling etc etc) it( In my case an anchor locker in a 23 CC that cant be removed unless the cap is lifted). Or what about a recover with smooth white Formica ??

Rockdoc..there are pictures of my seafari cockpit under the heading of "wiring diagram" in this section posted be csick nick. I cleaned up my bulkhead and picked up a 4 x 8 sheet of a .125" thick material used for bath or shower enclosures at my local home depot. I got the pebble surface because I thought the smooth would reflect too much. I made a cardboard template of the walls and cut the panel and applied with a good marine adhesive. it worked fine for me...just an idea for you
