Anybody know of a good place to order 45/45 biaxial 1808. I have looked a little on the web and found the 0/90 1808 and the 45/45 1708. What's the difference between the 1708 and 1808? Thanks -Will

Short story
The 1808 vs. the 1708 18oz vs. 17oz 45 degree orientation vs 90 degree orientation The 45 conforms much better in tighter radius’s …. works great for “tabbing” stuff, stringers etc… The 90 doesn’t do as well (wants to lift in tight corners)…However in a flat lay-up situation the stuff is like steel….. undersides of hatches , decks etc… I know Joe (Merton’s) has the 1708 biaxial and the heavy woven rovens w/mat (I purchased 1808 elsewhere prior to learning about Mertons) Plus …Joe is a SUPER nice guy to deal with www.mertons.com |

I use FGCI for my stuff. [Fiberglass Coatings Inc.]
Their website sucks. Their service is Very Good. http://www.fgci.com/ For epoxy fairing putty I use System 3's Quik Fair. The best price on that is Hamilton Marine. http://www.hamiltonmarine.com/ |
