Raritan Bay Report
Ran into a hot Strper bite this afternoon in Ambrose Channel drifting eels near the #3 can in the deep and left them biting after a 20 and 25 pounder hit the deck and some shorts as well. Hopefully this is the start.

Re: Raritan Bay Report
Jeff how's it going up there? Coming to Fair Haven to celebrate my 40th on Dec. 17th. Fly for the party or drive with the rods? Mike.

Re: Raritan Bay Report
Mike,
I was out this past weekend off od the hook. You can never tell when the bass fishing will shut down (my guess is when the water falls below 45 degrees, and it is at arounf 53 degrees right now). If the water stays above 45 degrees we can chase birds and catch fish into January. Last year it shut down around mid-December in the Sandy hook area. Blackfishing is another story. I think that we can just about guarantee good blackfishing into January. If you want to get out at all, let me know. Peter

Re: Raritan Bay Report
Hey thanks Peter. Just finished checking in with Hook reports at the Bass Barn. Sounds a little shotty. Been coming home for holidays for 13 years living down here. Some years its nice, some you wonder if you need additonal treatment for another addiction. Last year did well with Craig aboard the Miles Offshore but the old girlfriend picked up and moved to Cali.. Thanks again for the offer. Maybe get together for a beer if its blowin too hard. I'll be there 12-17 thru the 24th or 26th. Mike.

Re: Raritan Bay Report
Ran out for the afternoon today and managed a pick of decent fish in Ambrose #3 and S2 area, its been difficult locating decent sized fish so far this fall...almost time to haul out...I hate winter!
