Default IDEAS ? Seats w/ integrated tackle / fishwell

I have played with this idea before but have gone nowhere with it for my 23' Tsunami.

Would like some pix of boats ( any boats ) that have well-designed helm/passenger seats that incorporate a livewell in one seat and a tackle storage in the other. I want to keep it as unobtrusive as possible.

I will build it myself, to keep costs down.

My old Grady white had a decent set up w/ pedestals mounted to small, sturdy fiberglass boxes that were part of the liner - one was a rope locker the other a tackle set-up.

For the Tsunami, I would need something larger for a fish box ( for nice size bass ) and a decent sized tackle set-up w/ plenty of room. The fish box will be insulated...

Anybody w/ pix of a nice set-up or a specific boat that has a nice design - let me know.

Thx

I'm planning on doing the same thing with the tackle set up, but i'll be damned you gave me a great idea about an insulated fish box for my catch under the passenger seat!!! Theres no storage for fish in my Seafari. I usually always bring HUGE cooler which takes up a lot of room on the deck if I could loose the sink (which i don't use) under the passenger set and set up a fish well I'd have a lot more room!! Thanks keep the ideas comming!!

Maybe this would work but I can't seem to pull the trigger on the $$$

Would like to build them but I don't have the expertise to make them and look good

I had an older Nautical Designs LP. I was very happy with it. I replaced the storage insides with 1/2" starboard cuz the original wood was rotten. There is a company in NC, command center seating that make some really nice ones.

Those are very pricey ! And, have you ever sat in a seat that your heals bang into the 'box' when you sit ? It is a little uncomfortable - thus the beauty of a pedestal.

Personally, I don't sit much anyway, but there are times when I do. It might be tough to have all the things that I want without it getting too big, ugly and $$$ !

I definitely want a fishbox - I have been using the hatch between the helm and passenger seats and the fish scales/slime go right to my bilge. I have placed a custom cut rubbermaid in there so the fish sh*t is contained. Jsut an added thing to clean. I have thought about putting an inline macerator pump from the drains in the hatch, straight thru an existing thru hull outle.

On an aside, I really do not like that this hatch lets so much rainwater into the bilge via the drain holes. My idea - the less water in a bilge the better ! Especially since I have an i/o.

My search continues - keep ideas coming !
