Default Big Tarpon

The Capt. was a neighbor of mine a few years back. Last person on right.

Winning Tarpon

Nice fish. There's more fish and fishermen this year than I've ever seen. I prefer tarpon on the flats over all the mayhem in the pass. I might need to stop at the pass and dip net some crabs for a possible permit trip this weekend and if I do I'll get a picture of 100 + boats fishing in an area the size of a football field

I am with you. Marty (Capt.) usually fishes Pine Island Sound. He hates the pass. However on the tournaments he goes where the client pays him to go.

A few years ago I caught a nice 175-180# out in Charlotte Harbor.

I, too, hate crowds. But just once I'd like to bow to the King near the hill or the hole... just for the memory... You guys got some fishery down there in Charlotte Harbor.
