Default sorta newbie

Happy to say I am the proud owner of my first seacraft. 1974 20' seafari. I purcased the boat from a family that owned it for the last 30 plus years. I worked for a dealer in Sagamore Ma. back in the late 70's and 80's and rigged many 0f these boats. Here I am now in my mid 40's and have come full circle. Enough about me and more about the boat. this is close to the most orginal 74 seacraft I have ever seen. The boat is absulute bone stock!! It doesnt even have any electronics installed. It has almost perfect gelcote and a 1989 115 merc inline six {aka the tower of power 6}. Now lets be realistic it is a 34 year old boat and I have been in the business along time but 34 year old fiberglass boat? The exterior hardware needs replcement to make the boat mint but is far from bad. I figure a good detail new cleats, new rails, and new rub rail this boat could pass for a 3 ot 5 year old boat. I still work in the boating bussiness {service side}and I can say for sure that 34 years from now the stuff they are building wont be around!!!
