Dave,
Sure...if you cut up the deck. Take a look at what strick (Here We Go Again) did to his 1969SF. Plenty of room under there. I have an original deck in mine and a new above deck tank.

Thanks for the responses. To those I have not answered in emails, it is "original", the gas tank is 40 gal and above deck. The T-top is included in the sale, also has a custom made boat cover but the engine and dive platform have to be on the boat for it to fit correctly. It is an old boat and needs work to be in top condition, but as far as I can tell from the ride it is in good condition. I am aware of the opinions expressed on this web site that a boat this age will have a bad deck and stringers, however, I would have to leave that absolute determination to someone more expert than I. I would still be using it if I had not decided some months ago to attack a small crack in the port corner of the motor well portion of the transom that had been there since I bought the boat in '81. When I discovered the rot in that corner, I then pondered replacing the transom using info on this web site, as I could not stand to patch the problem and keep using. Ultimately I realized I just don't have the time to give to this right now, thus the sale. I am located in Melbourne, actually in old Eau Gallie, if anyone knows where that is, 1/2 mile north of the Eau Gallie Causeway at 1913 Pineapple Ave. I will be home this weekend working around the house if anyone wants to come look.
