Thanks. That gives me some good perspective to start with. Can't find any aluminum extrusion to make operating sashes for the windshield, so I'm thinking a wood frame protected with epoxy and a UV shield clear coat. I PM'd Bonefish to ask what the guys at F&B used on his console brightwork but haven't heard from him yet:
