Default seacraft hull id numbers

hello to everyone taking the time to read this post and thank you, i meet someone that has a seacraft hull on thier property and asked if it was for sale ,sure the guy told me but he doesn't have a title and has no clue who owned it, the vin plate is in bad shape the last numbers read 945 i called seacraft to see if they could tell me anywhere else the number might be on boat but told me only the police could call them for that so i called the local sheriffs office and they said they couldn't help me with that, seacraft did tell me that buy the last three numbers it was most likely built in 1994 but was a 1995 model, they where the ones that told me about this seacraft site and said someone on here might be abel to tell me where to look for the other numbers on the hull,so if there is anyone that knows or may have an idea of where i can look THANK YOU because i have not seen any besides the one plate in the back, thanks

Describe the HIN plate. Better yet, post a photo. Pics of the boat, too.
Is it engraved into the transom on the starboard side? Is it a metal plate or decal on the console or bulkhead? If a metal plate, the hull is probably pre-1973.

If the registration numbers are stil on the boat, your state tag agency can probably link them back to the HIN and identify the last owner of record. In Florida, they won't tell you who the last registered owner was, but they will send him a message on your behalf if you request it. I was able to identify the last recorded owner of an untitled Hewes Bonefisher I picked up.
