Hi everyone,
I just bought a 1985 23SF and am thinking about some projects. Right now, I would like to find out if anyone has customized the forward seat that is part of the console so that it could serve as an insulated cooler. If so, I would greatly appreciate any information (and in particular, photos) that you may have. Thanks in advance. |

Gatordoc,
Welcome aboard. I thought the forward seat was insulated on the 23 SF, but I don't really know. Here's a link to Horsedoc's, er, strick's latest project. Different boat and his is custom strick, but same insulation goal in mind. http://www.classicseacraft.com/forum...1&fpart=7&vc=1

What I did was remove the seat part from the door which gave me room to put a 120 qt. Igloo Cooler bow to stern in that location. Easy to keep, replace, move around, and clean.
