Default Found an '87 bracketed 23, couple questions.....

I found a 1987 bracketed, 225hp OX66 Yammy, t-top w/riggers, closed off transom, scuppers out the back.

Owner says the work was done by Wildfire Marine. Supposedly a well known Seacraft builder/modifier?

Looks like a very clean job. Armstrong bracket. Scuppers go through the transom, from inside it looks like they go through the corners of the hull. Seems like a recessed area on each side that is lower than floor, where the scuppers go thru? Does that make sense? I will try to get a pic.

I have been doing a lot of research on the 23. I understand this boat is not a Potter. Is there anything else to look for on a late 80's boat? Besides the obvious- soft deck, soft transom etc?

I would like to be armed with as much info as possible. This boat is 1000 miles from me, and I will be flying down to inspect/test ride it.

That is the one HermCo. I was pretty sure I wasnt the only one looking at it. Tough game to play from across the country!

Is that one of your brackets? Looks like an Armstrong?

I went and looked at it with a potential buyer. The bracket is an aluminum, probably an Armstrong since Wildfires shop is across the street from them.
