Default Mooring welding ?

A mooring that I use has worn through at the eye to where it can't be used.

Other than that - mooring is in great shape.

Can and how can a new eye be welded on ?

I have welded a big Eyebolt shackle on the end in replacement of the ring. FYI: you CANT weld the mushroom back onto the shaft as it is pig iron, dont even bother trying.

Thanks - I will look into the options. If a welder does it cheaply enough - I'll go that route - if not, I think I can pick up a new 75lb mooring for $75 ...
