87' CC with single 225 ob
How's this hull run with an avg 225 hp outboard ? Enough power ?

Bgreene, Welcome aboard. Not much info to work with; try to be more specific. What the the heck is an avg 225 hp motor... Assuming its a 23', you're fine if properly propped. Probably cruise high 20s easy and top out high 30s maybe touching 40 mph. If its a 20' increase your life insurance policy

I can hit 42mph with 2 guys and gear. Cruise is ~28mph --Johnson 225 2 stroke 15x15 alum prop--

Thats fine in any brand - rudes have more low end torque but thas fine

I had the same year cc for a while with a 3.0L 225 merc on it with a t-top, would run 47 mph on the gps with about 75 gallons of fuel and little ole me. good running 225 would work fine.
