Tires
someone recommended Maxxis several years ago and I went with them. Have had very good luck with them. Most important thing I have found is to maintain proper air pressure in the tires.

I just put Maxxis E/10 ply rated, (actual 6 ply tread and 4 ply sidewall) bias-ply tires on my '05 Kodiak camper, after the original 14" "E" rated Carlisle radials showed severe sidewall cracking after 6 years/6000 miles.
I run four 13" Carlisle bias-ply "C" (6 ply) rated tires under the SeaCraft, all from WalMart. The newest is 6 or 7 years old and has about 8000 miles on it. The other 3 are all 9 years old, and have about 9000 miles. They are all showing cracking between the treads, so I will only use them locally until I can afford to replace them. That's why even though I'm leaving for the Keys in 3 days, to spend a week at Bahia Honda, for the 1st time in 11 years we're not pulling a boat with us, just taking kayaks.
