Default Exhaust Question

So...mechanic #1 says I may be losing antifreeze through my exhaust risers.
Mechanic #2 says that's impossible...but then he says if the exhaust riser is freshwater cooled, then I may be losing antifreeze through the exhaust risers.

I loosened the bolts and I'm about to change the gaskets. Here's a pic...what do you think...freshwater cooled?

The engine block is FWC...the risers are not.
