Great motors. Very thirsty, though.

that engine,if "propped" correctly,will burn approx 13-14gph @ full throttle

approx half that number @ cruise speed : 6-7gph @ cruise

now,if your cruise speed is 21kts,you're burning 7gph,that equates to 3nmpg...

I think evinrude made a 140 I know that my 96's do run the v6 lower units
Haven't run them much due to life issues not the engines but everyone I know say they are great motors

Thanks everyone, as soon as I get ride of the merc, this engine is at the top of my list within my budget for this.
