Default new electric windlass 20 Seafari

Did not want to have to climb over or pop through bow opening like a Pop A Weasel so installed this electric anchor windlass....don't like the anchor rode that came with it so will change to heavier soon.Name: IMG_1421.jpg

Default West Marine

I got it at West Marine. I think it was about $300.00 if I recall.
You can go to their website and it is on there.
So far the function of it is fine....I don't like the size of the rode that cam on it and plan on changing it very soon to a heavier stock.
If you get one just be sure you order the 2nd control for it or you will still end up heading to front of boat to push he button on the windlass.

I like that mooring bit on the deck! May have to add a windlass to mine also if/when I get too old and feeble to get on front deck! Did you add any reinforcement under the deck when you installed the windlass?

As for backing support...yes a piece of 1/2" teak 12x12 I had left from another project.
Thru bolted with SS bolts and nuts

They only make one size of the saltwater version to my knowledge
yes they do make a second switch for it...it is plug and play so no wiring of switch involved
