23 fuel burn with 250
Starting to look for another one.......So what are reasonable fuel burn numbers for a 23 CC with a recent or new 4 stroke 225-250?

3900 RPM, 27mph burning about 8.5 to 9gph.
WOT 5700 45mph 22gph.

23 Tsunami, dive load, 3 people and 100 gal. of fuel - 27 knots @ 4500 on a DF 250 Suzuki burning 13 gph. If I drop it down to 4200 rpm I can get almost 3 nautical per gallon at 24 knots. Top speed is 40 knots @ 6200.

I wonder how the DF300 would compare in fuel burn? I have the same boat but with a hardtop. A minimum 50nm to the ledge off Charleston,SC. My ocean pros would need a mid sea refuel to go that far...top speed with twin 150's is 43mph with 36gph fuel burn @ 5200. That Zuke is sounding better all the time.

My Honda on the troll does about .5/gph and at 35mph I do about 10-11ish. By buddies DF300 does better on the troll, but MUCH worse at speed.

That's funny about the Ocean Pros, well not funny when you are paying for the fuel. I had a brand new 225 back in 1995. I never knew you could push that much gas through a 3/8" fuel line!!!

"If" I could move 200lbs fuel forward I would go with twin 175 Sukes. I need a new fuel tank now so I'm waiting to see under the original if I have enough room for a "v" tank.
