Keys recommendations....

Want to plan a trip down for June with a couple of families and bring a pair of boats.
We will have kids as well and need a house for a week with boat dockage and good access to the outside as well as inside for fishing, snorkeling, and kid fun.
I am indifferent to where exactly.....maybe as far south as Islamorada.
Any suggestions or recommendations?

Check out VRBO.com. There are a bunch of options. You can filter the bedrooms, pool, dockage, etc. Just me, but I'm very much in favor of Islamorada.

there are some homes that a buddy rented one time in a area called 7 acres was a nice house with a canal in back for dockage

3x for Islamorada. Tons of great snorkel and fishing spots. Plenty of things for the kids. Davis Reef, Hens and Chickens and one of my personal favorites, the Islamorada Hump.

If the wind is whipping, the bayside can still be fun.

ck out a place called topsiders in islamorda. they have a boat ramp and docks there!!!!!neat little place

I'd actually recommend farther south, although Islamorada is very good. Marathon has great fishing and diving, lots of water access. Big Sombrero reef is excellent for snorkeling, AND just outside the SE boundary of Big Sombrero is the best yellowtail snapper fishing I've ever found. I go back every year, and we catch our limit generally in only an hour or two.

Similarly, Big Pine Key, with Looe Key for snorkeling & diving. Very short run to the outer reefs with big fish there. 140' to 300' range is excellent for Pelagics AND for grouper. Gotta throw the Jewfish back, though.
