Default Windshield Quick Release setup

Does anyone have any suggestions for this ?

I have a MA20CC with what I believe is the large console.

It has a tinted top shield on it that doesn't clear a local bridge except at low tide which forces an extra 1.5M detour through no wake zone.

I don't want to dispense with the shield so would like to get a setup that facilitates quick removal upon approach and then quick re-assemble at the other side.

The screen appears to be spaced out off the console by an inch or so on a permanent rubber grommet / bolt setup (7) - ideally I'd like to avoid drilling the screen any further.

Any and all suggestions / links welcome !

I have thought of the DZEUS (sp) 1/4 turn fasteners like on race cars. They're SS, easy to unzip, and don't open over 300 mph

I had these on my center console and they worked great. Takes under a minute to take off the windshield.

I have the same situation for my 20SF. When the boat was in the water over 10 years ago, I just remove the windshield and left the grab rail in place. The grab rail would putt out from the top for bridge clearance.

But, on my rebuild, which is halted right now, my idea is a piano hinge across the front (space appropriately out with nylon washers or starboard).

Then bolts set in backwards with wingnuts on the outsides to capture the side mounting holes. The windshield should bend enough to clear the bolts.

Again, just an idea at this point.

I do like those TH fittings though and will be watching this thread for other ideas.
