He was asking 1,700.00 i think it is 71 inches long. New i think 2,900. Or more. But what is the real value of a used bracket?

My rule of thumb is if I get something used that is in good working order and that is "good condition" is worth about half of what a new on is. There is a lot of grey area there but in your case if the damage is minimal I would say 1500 would be reasonable. Armstrong's sell used for between $800-$1200 used and I would value a Hermco worth more than an Armstrong. If you like it offer $1200 and maybe he will counter you around $1400-$1500. It cost over a $1000 in materials to build one from high quality resin, cloth and composite material not to mention the 80+ hours to produce it. Building one is a lot of work and better left to the pros.

A new twin engine Hermco bracket will cost you $3500 plus shipping. So I don't think $1700 is unreasonable if there is no structural damage and only minor cosmetic. I saw the ad and it looks like a good deal. I just built one and it was a ton of work.

And there you have it.

Are there any other used Hermco brackets on the market?
And, how much is new one?

So, seems like $1700 is a deal.

It didn't last long, so I would say it was priced right. Maybe if it was in an different area it would of sold slower. But in seacraft country USA where there are so many seacraft owners there is more demand and most of everybody that doesn't have one wants one.
